Should you bother with a loading phase?
Both routes land in the same place. Loading saturates your muscles in about a week; skipping it and taking your maintenance dose daily gets you there in roughly four. After that point the research finds no difference in strength, power output or work capacity between someone who loaded and someone who did not.
So the honest answer is that loading buys you time, not results. It is worth it if you have a meet, a trip or a training block starting in a fortnight. It is not worth it if higher doses upset your stomach, which is the most common complaint.
The part the calculator cannot do for you
Whichever protocol you pick, it only works if you actually take it. Creatine works by accumulation — your muscles stay saturated because you keep topping them up, every single day, training day or not. Miss enough days and you quietly slide back toward where you started, without ever noticing a specific day it went wrong.
That is the real failure mode. Not picking the wrong dose, but taking the right dose four days a week. We went through what actually happens when you miss a day — the short version is that one day is nothing and a habit of missing days is everything.
Let the app run the protocol
Suplio holds your loading dose, splits it across the day, switches you to maintenance when the week is up, and reminds you every morning after that. Free, and it works for the rest of your stack too.
